- Volunteer Opportunities

You can help.

Everyone at F&C AC is a volunteer, from parent helpers, leaders, coaches, the commity and the chairman.  Without them our club would not exist.  We need your help to keep to club running.

Come along and offer your help, give it a go, and if you like we can then help you continue your volunteering with specific training.

Courses are available from England Athletics for which the Club will pay fees. In return we ask that you help train once a week or so. If you would like to attend any of the courses, or possibly a future course, then please get in contact.

Children Coach

UK Athletics offer specific training courses for those interested in coaching athletics to younger children.  Like the Athletics Coach course it is carried out over four days and ends with an assesment.

Athletics Coach

The athletics coach award training starts with three days of training in which your given basic instruction and guidance in how to train and plan athletics.  Using that training you document training sessions, review and plan future sessions based on your learning from previous sessions and build upon your successes and failures. To complete your training a journal (diary) and planning is filed with England athletics whom then help if necessary to get your planning up to standard.  Once that is done you must attend an assesment day which if succesful you are awarded your coach award.
